EVOLVE Second Edition is a six-level American English course for adults and young adults, taking students from beginner to advanced levels (CEFR A1 – C1). Drawing on insights from language teaching experts, this student-centred course covers all skills, focuses on the most effective ways to progress in English, and gets students speaking with confidence. The Level 1 Student’s Book is suitable for students at CEFR level A1.
- Unit Opener: Introduces the topic with a picture.
- Lesson 1 & 2: Vocabulary and Grammar.
- Lesson 3: “Functional Language” (eg, how to ask for help, how to say no politely) + “Real World Strategy.”
- Lesson 4: Reading & Listening.
- Lesson 5: “Time to Speak” – The signature lesson of this series. It is a dedicated speaking task where students discuss a topic, prep, and present.
Cambridge Evolve – 2nd Edition is scheduled for release in January 2026 .
Unlike the Everybody Up series you previously asked about (where 1st and 2nd editions are both widely available), the 2nd Edition of Evolve has not yet been fully released to the public as of late 2025.
